Thank you ISACNT staff, Yaam Thapa and Amealia Schneider for the wonderful presentation you delivered at STEPS Group Palmerston on the 18th February 2025.  At STEPS we deliver the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and Skills for Education and Training Program (SEE) our students are from many different cultures and backgrounds, many of our students are new to Australia and other students have been unemployed for some time and working towards returning to the workforce or building a new career path.  This presentation was so inspiring and informative for our students who are keen to learn as much as they can about working in the Northern Territory and has helped them to understand workforce challenges and opportunities. We thank you Yaam and Amealia for your professional and informative presentation and we look forward to working with you again in the future.

Thank you from all of the team at STEPS Group Palmerston

With the help of ISACNT we have separated Landscape Architecture out from the previous broad banner of Architecture and are now able to lobby and access assistance to attract young up and coming Landscape Architects to the fast paced regional and remote projects we deliver here. With the help from ISACNT we can draw in Landscape Architects from Southern states and overseas to fill the needs here to support the Northern Territory Government and the community with our unique skills and knowledge.”

WorldSkills Australia is a perfect opportunity for the students to showcase their talents, gain valuable experience, and set themselves up for future success. Serving as a judge in such a prestigious competition has improved my professional’s reputation and credibility within the industry. It is a rewarding experience to mentor and support the next generation of skilled professionals and helping them in their quest to recognition and glory.

By being a judge I have assisted professionals to connect with other experts in their field, fostering valuable relationships and collaborations. I also get first hand experience of the innovative techniques and solutions from competitors, which inspire new ideas and approaches in my own work. The position also allows me to stay updated with the latest industry standards and practices and to enhance my skills and knowledge.

The experience was both immersive and challenging, testing my business service capabilities across multiple domains, including creating complex documents, developing presentations, working with advanced spreadsheets, and crafting professional communications – all while meeting strict quality standards and deadlines. The competition was exceptionally well-organised, with expert judges providing valuable insights throughout. I am honoured to have won the business skills competition. This achievement validates my hard work and pushes me to continue striving for excellence, and I’m proud to have been part of such a prestigious event.
