NT Overseas Qualified Electrician


It’s time to gain your Australia Electrical Licence!

Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT), in partnership with the Northern Territory Government and Charles Darwin University are offering free placements for 20 overseas qualified Electricians to obtain their Australian electrical licence.

Attention Electrical Industry!

The 20 overseas qualified electricians will be undertaking the 10809NAT – Course in Electrician – Minimum Australian Context Gap training with Charles Darwin University as the Registered Training Organisation. The course will be commencing in September 2024.

Entry Requirement

  • Must be an NT Resident
  • Hold an Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR) for a UEE30830 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (or successor)
  • Hold an Electrical Work Licence Training Permit from NT Work Safe
  • Be engaged (employed) as an electrical worker or have access to a workplace environment that replicates workplace conditions
